BAE systems' Taranis, unmanned and self-thinking stealth aircraft unveiled

BAE Systems have unveiled Taranis, a semi-autonomous unmanned stealth aircraft. It means this stealth aircraft can carry the load into the enemy’s territory and that too without the need of any pilot. And, as the word goes, the aircraft can also do the thinking for itself. Unveiled in U.K., it has joined the league of other under development stealth UAVs. It is a part of British initiative for the Ministry of Defense. The payload and other equipment has not been developed yet and the initial test vehicle is not expected to carry weapons, but will have two weapon bays. If ever developed fully into functionality, this aircraft could be a great aid, yet a great threat too. Consequently, BAE points out for this self-thinking aircraft that, "Should such systems enter into service, they will at all times be under the control of highly trained military crews on the ground."
