Averatec's AHI UMPC soon to become a reality

Rumors about the Averatec's AHI 3G Wi-Fi UMPC concept surfaced in April and the good news is that it's moving forward slowly towards reality.

We knew that the 700g Windows XP Home Edition-based AHI measures is powered by 1GHz Intel Celeron M ultra-low voltage processor.
The latest update published by Engadget confirms that the sleek black machine comes packed with a 30 or 40GB drive, up to 1GB RAM, Bluetooth, 802.11b/g, optional WWAN, 1.3 mega pixel webcam, 4-in-1 card reader, external VGA and audio outs, and a 5-inch 800 x 480 display. In addition, it comes ready with VoIP, videoconferencing and voice recognition compatibility. Expect to grab it for under $800 in Q4 2006.
