AudioCubes: Modular instruments to shape and recreate music
With an enduring motive to design open source tangible interfaces for making music and sound with the computer, designers at Percussa have created AudioCubes, 75mm x 75mm x 75mm glowing modular live performance cuboid instruments to shape and recreate music. These physical blocks with a tangible music control system hook up to any computer running Mac OSX 10.4 or later, or Windows XP SP2 or later, Vista and Leopard, providing a new way to interact with the existing audio software.

The AudioCubes with blocks to sense one another's positions and orientation, create music depending on how the objects interact with each other while being used for simple and complex setups alike, allowing you to play around with the music and sound like a professional DJ himself.
The AudioCubes are networked together, therefore they communicate with each other wirelessly, the cubes are available in a set of 1, 2, 4, 8, and their internal batteries can be charged via a USB hub. Check out the teaching aid video to get an insight into the AudioCubes.
