Attach better quality earphones to your iPhone 4 for thumping sound
Frankly speaking iPhone 4’s bundled-in headset is not much to talk about; the quality is good but nothing outstanding when compared to names like Senn Heiser, Skull Candy or Audeo. You would say that what’s the problem in that, simply buy earphones/headphones from amongst one of these brands and listen to music uninterrupted. But then you have to do away with the microphone and remote controller that come with the original iPhone earphones. One DIYer Yutaka Tsutano decided to upgrade the quality of his iPhone listening experience without giving away the microphone and controller of his original iPhone 4.
He attached Shure Sound Isolating Earphones to his iPhone 4 earphones by attaching the leads together. To do this he soldered the leads together, wrapped in heat shrink tube and then zip tied without the use of any electrical tape.
