AT&T 'USBConnect881' provides 800 Kbps uploading speed
AT&T has launched a new USB device, USBConnect881 that provides high speed data downloading and uploading service to both the Mac and PC users.
The data downloading speed is between 600kbps to 1.4Mbps, while uploading speed is tagged at 500Kbps to 800kbps. Thus, the laptop users can send and receive emails at a tremendous speed, while enjoying high speed broadband service on AT&T's 3G HSPA wireless network.
The use of USBConnect881 is very simple. You don't need to download any special software for windows. It automatically installs drivers by connecting the device to a USB port of your PC. However, the Mac users are required to install a driver. In fact, the driver is available for free.
The weight of the USB gadget is around 1.25 ounces. It is 3.7" long while width 1.5 inches and thickness 0.8 inches. The price of the device is around $50 with a new two-year data connect contract.
