Asus unveils uBoom and Q soundbar multimedia speakers
Coming a long way in speakers, it is perhaps for the first time that Asus has unveiled multimedia speakers in the form of the uBoom and the uBoom Q soundbar speakers. The speaker series features a maze-like reflex port, which is used to provide high fidelity audio and bass. The music is then channeled through the speakers in such a way that the listener is always in a audio sweet spot anywhere in the confines of the room. For the purpose of mobility and convenience, the speakers are fitted with USB 2.0 for audio delivery, while the smart design allows the notebooks to be docked into the speakers. Measuring 595mm x 135mm x 90mm, the 2.1 notebook speaker deliver 24W, while the uBoom Q offers 2.4W power only. There is no word on the prices yet.
