ASUS has unveiled world’s first one-terabyte notebook in collaboration with Hitachi Global Storage Technologies. The new Travelstar 5K500, which can store 500 GB data in 2.5 thickness, stands practically possible among ASUS’s M series multimedia notebook PCs. Among M50 and M70, the later possesses storage capacity of up to 1 terabyte with two-drive configuration, which makes it the world’s highest capacity drive, means it can store up to 1,000 hours of video, or more than 350 feature length movies or 250,000 four-minute songs. That’s nothing but a response to increasing demand for on-the-go digital entertainment.
The notebooks are sleek and stylish and houses ASUS Infusion technology LCD cover, an ergonomic full-sized keyboard, multimedia console-like design, a separate numerical keypad, a dual-mode touchpad for easily applied media playback control, and Hitachi’s rotational vibration safeguard (RVS) technology to mitigate any adverse impact on system performance from unexpected vibrations or shocks. ASUS will showcase these notebooks at CES 2008.
