The war in the subnotebook space wages on. Not one to rest on its laurels or for that matter, let the recent launch of the Eee PC 901 turn into a Hare-Tortoise scenario, Asus is looking to further strengthen its market stronghold by announcing the release of the Eee PC 1000 in early June. Taking the MSI Wind head-on, the new PC 1000 will feature a 10inch screen. Asus’ new product will debut at Computex 2008 in Taipei, which will kick-off on June 3rd, and the subnotebook will be showcased along with the PC 901. Further details about the PC 1000’s features are awaited.
