Asus is expected to be launching its first Android-based tablet sometime in March. As confirmed by Asus CEO Jerry Shen, the tablet will cost $399 and will be developed by Android engineers on the smartphone team. Besides the Android Eee Pad, Asus is also expected to release a Windows 7-powered tablet – the EP121 — sometime in December or January. This would be an expensive tablet at about $1,000 because, it’s learned that the Windows tablet powered by a ULV Core 2 duo processor will come with a docking station, which would allow the EP121 to feature as a full desktop PC or laptop.
