ASUS, one of the world leaders in design and manufacture of 3C total solutions, has come out with a cool new P5E3 Premium motherboard that leaves no stones unturned in the race of power saving technology or in going green. Equipped with a new technique called Asus Energy Processing Unit (EPU), the Asus P5E3 Premium motherboard uses 80% less power than other boards, when the PC is running low intensity programs. It has already won several awards in its category including the Editor’s Choice Gold Award from HardOCP and Anandtech. This energy efficient motherboard also ensures maximum performance. Its Asus Express Gate mini OS feature is just too cool and ensures that it is faster and allows faster Internet access (say less than 5 seconds!), that too without even having to boot into the system.
It is an overclockable motherboard that exhibits the latest Intel X48 chipset. It also is the world’s first hardware-based IC controller that saves power without compromising the performance of the CPU. The ASUS P5E3 Premium motherboard also features a DDR3 2000Mhz and dual PCI Express 2.0 x16 lanes supports and IEEE 802.11n draft technology.
Asus, which has also found itself a place among the 100 technology companies of the world by Business Week’s ‘InfoTech 100’ seems to be doing more than just going green. Priced at around $369, the ASUS P5E3 Premium motherboard would hit the market soon and, in our opinion, prove to be a fore runner in the intelligent energy-saving chip market.
