ASUS has broken all barriers (and has left me drooling for next 35 hours) by announcing world’s first laptop with 1 Terabyte (that is 1000 GB of music, movies, photos and games for noobs) hard drive. ASUS M70SA is powered by 2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (T9300) processor, ATI HD3650 (graphic card) with 1 GB VRAM and 4GB of DDRII system RAM. It will come with Windows Vista and a big 17” high definition screen.
No doubt that this spec sheet will leave any geek drooling (like myself) but I am really disappointed with the inclusion of the 17” screen because I find big screened laptops pretty bulky to be tagged as portable, but then there are few who go by the theory of “bigger, the better.” Though I must admit that the screen is pretty good as it is a 2.3 million pixel 1920 x 1200 WUXGA (Wide screen Ultra eXtended Graphics Array) display.
With this notebook ASUS had made sure that no tables are left unturned, they surely want to lure in every possible customer, be it gamers, movie buffs, audiophiles and obviously geeks (goes without saying). For Audiophiles, it’ll be a treat as it comes with 4.1 system, that’d be 4 Altec Lansing speakers and a sub woofer. Then it’s got an inbuilt TV Tuner, 802.11a/b/g/n wireless networking, 1.3 megapixel webcam, Bluetooth, a fingerprint scanner and Blu-ray Combo drive. In UK, it’ll come with Batman Begins Blu-Ray disk. Sadly, there’s no word on pricing yet but it’ll surely be one expensive monster.
