Hardware and software costs are on a downfall in the recent years. No question that this reduces the cost of computer systems and other embedded systems. However, still this is not the best time to buy a system from your weekly savings, for that you might have to sacrifice what you really need in that system.
Asus has taken the falling price of hardware and has released a new UMPC called the Eee. Eee offers ease in work, ease in learning and ease in playing. It comes with a smallish 7-inch LCD display, 512 MB RAM, a mere 4GB of flash based drive, and Wi-Fi. Going by the specs we hope that the system has been designed to cater to the needs of the ones who seldom use the computer and that too for surfing the net. The company has done well while prepping the price tag of this UMPC. The lowest-end version of the system is expected to sell around $200, whereas the high-end versions are priced somewhere close to the $4400 mark. Cheaper versions might not make a way into the U.S. markets.
