ASUS debuts world’s first laptops with wireless HD technology

ASUS has done it again, this time by collaborating with SiBEAM to give the world its first laptops to feature SiBEAM’s 60GHz wirelessHD technology. Called G73JW and G53, this technology enables these laptops to beam 1080p content directly into a receiver box form a distance of up to 30 meters. The G73JW is the 17-inch version. Both the laptops are slated to feature HD sans cabling this fall. However, as far as the pricing is concerned, it is not out as yet.
