ARCHOS 35 Home Connect Andriod Based Web Radio revealed

French Gadget maker Archos announced their brand new line up of Android devices for home-the Archos 35 Home Connect, a web radio and Archos 35 Smart Home Phone. With these two devices, Archos is trying to bring Android functionality to your daily use home devices. Both of them use Android 2.2 Froyo and are touchscreen.

Some users think that Android is only for mobile devices, but the operating system has other uses as well, the Archos 35 Home connect and the Archos Smart Home Phone are the latest examples. The self-proclaimed Android based web radio comes with a built-in battery and Wi-Fi access to over 50, 000-web radio stations. Apart from tuning to the radio stations, you can play the music stored locally with the Tuneln app. If you do not like the audio player then download a new one to your portable device. There is a video chatting app, MP3 ringtones, and caller photo display.

It is very lightweight and fits perfectly in your hand. It works as an alarm clock, and a device for getting weather report, traffic information, and latest news. It has camera, video machine and a high quality sound. The high quality sound comes from two high-definition speakers designed for enhanced bass. You can do everything with the device same as you can do with an Android Smartphone including synchronizing of contacts, web browsing and using your favorite applications.

Internet radio is not a new idea, but some of the devices stands out of the crowd and gives a new definition to it, Archos 35 is one of them. The web radio is arriving late this September with a price tag of $149. Oh, sorry it is not only a web radio, its somewhere between a tablet and a computer, a new breed.
