Archie - a freaky helper humanoid
Look at this weird humanoid robot, Archie, which will help you around with your daily household tasks. It is supposed to be a helper bot, but as you can see in the video, it's hardly able to help itself. Archie's head seems to be a big problem to keep over its neck and it can't even stand by itself. This robot has a pair of hands, but they are no more than added weight to his shoulders, as they are not functional.
Vienna University of Technology along with the University of Manitoba is creating this freak-bot. The video is in German, so you won’t be able to make out a word of what is going on. But the good thing is, when finished, Archie will cost you just $20,000. A word from the robot community: Archie is an insult to all robotic-beings, therefore it shall be "terminated."
