Apple seems to be very busy with designing and developing new products. Some of the products which have been granted patents, are related to speech synthesis, MacBook, iPod laynard designs, iPhone stand/dock, backlighting for notebooks and compensation circuitry. Of all these patents, what strikes us the most is the method and apparatus for backlighting a device, which deals with light guide panels, which can be used with certain devices. The patent for the circuits and methods for amplifying circuits is about compensatory circuitry in electronic devices. Another interesting patent is the data-driven global boundary optimization that seeks to relate to the synthesis between text and speech. We may expect a lot of innovation and development from Apple.
