Apples MacBook Pro would carry Thunderbolt, a Light Peak upgrade
The Apple related rumours are in the air once again and the latest rumour centres around MacBook Pro upgrade. The new rumor states that, MacBook Pro would include revamped form of Light Peak, (an agile 10 Gbps optical bus) called Thunderbolt. The port resembles Mini DisplayPort which would become a single point of integration for all the devices eliminating the necessity of the ports.The user can plug displays, printers and even iPods into the Thunderbolt.
From the images it seems that Thunderbolt could be first used for video out port and Apple would slowly incorporate more newfangled ports in the upcoming MBPs. We can expect the Apples MacBook Pro to be incorporated with atleast two thunderbolt ports for better convenience. Since Thunderbolt is a rumour, there are many more questions associated with its usability. It would be interesting to note that, what would be the technological outcome of MBP Thunderbolt.
