Apple has yet again defined the future of notebooks by rolling out the upgraded MacBook Air 2. The lightest, ultra portable notebook measures an incredibly thin 0.11-inch at its thinnest point and 0.68-inches at its thickest. The mighty thin aluminum body weighs just 2.3 pounds for the 11.6inch model and 2.9 pounds for the 13.3 inch.

The upgraded version replaces mechanical hard disks and optical drives with Internet services and solid state flash storage used in iPad. MacBook Air features an 11.6-inch or 13.3-inch LED display at 1440 x 900 high-resolution, 2GB RAM, a GeForce 320M graphics chipset, an Intel Core 2 Duo 1.86GHz processor. Both the 11.6inch and 13.3 inch model have flash storage capability of 64GB and 128GB respectively. Depending on screen size and storage capacity the reinvented MacBook Air 2 costs between $1,000 and $1,600,.
