Apple has now given some bumps to its Mac Pro desktop with a pair of 3GHz quad-core Intel Xeon processors and they have dropped it within a month after such a machine was said to be in the labs. The base configuration with dual 3GHz quad-core Xeons and 2GB of RAM will set you back a stocky $4,296.

The users have the option to empower the machine by adding 16GB of DDR2-667 FB-DIMMs, 3TB of storage through four 750GB hard drives, an Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 professional graphics card, dual 16X DVD burners, 802.11n Wi-Fi, quad-channel 4Gb fiber channel PCIe cards, and other offerings.

The Mac Pro desktop stuffed with all these features will cost almost $15,000.
