Apple’s patent filing has brought the plans for a “remote wand” to light. Quite similar to the Wii-mote, the wand will allow users to control the cursor on the TV screen, make use of three-dimensional controls, and work on applications like zoom, keyboard, image, illustration and media applications. The wand may use an accelerometer, gyros or IR modules to detect movement. As can be expected from Apple, the wand may be quite useful and a lot of fun.
