With the release of Apple’s new models packed with Intel Corp.’s Core Duo processors later this month, Apple is planning to re-brand its iBook consumer notebooks under the ‘MacBook’.
As per Apple Insider, Apple has already triggered its strategies to market the new MacBooks that mainly target consumer and education markets and will soon be available for pre-order. Though analysts are a little skeptical about the re-branding move but the fact is, it’ll have no effect on the sales or Apple’s unflinching reputation as a maker.
Each new MacBook, though available in differed configurations, is expected to come with at least a 1.67GHz Core Duo chip, 13-inch widescreen display, built-in iSight video camera, a MagSafe power adaptor, Front Row and Photo Booth software applications.
Apple is also planning to roll out its flagship 17-inch MacBook Pro professional notebook along with the MacBook.
