The iPhone being hailed as the mightiest creation of modern technology, has however been criticized on many fronts pertaining to the more ordinary features that it had missed upon in contrary to the other high-end smartphones. The developers, who’ve repeatedly amazed us with their features and applications for the iPhone, were long awaited to do it again – with the much anticipated iPhone 3.0 software, and they did it for the good of all iPhone users. Updated with over 100 new features, unveiled at Apple headquarters, the software includes features like cut, copy and paste text, picture messaging, read and compose emails and text in landscape and push notification for third-party apps.

With the freely downloadable software, to be made available by the summer, the developers will have over 1000 applications to access from. Allowing users to cut and copy text from notes and the web, the software will assist the user to move text in different applications, and also access music files from the user’s iPhone library. Included also will be the amazing feature from Apple’s desktop and laptop lines, Spotlight, that lets the user search information in multiple applications.

More in the new software are applications like the voice memo, which will cater to many third-party recorder apps available, allowing the iPhone to work well with Bluetooth headphones, speakers and the like. Other apps include Google Maps integration, peer-to-peer support for multiplayer games and multimedia messages with audio clips and photos.
