Against the all previous rumors over Apple iPad 3, FBR Capital Markets analyst Craig Berger has emerged up with a report that Apple will be launching an ‘iPad 2 Plus’ this fall, not an iPad 3. Referring to some sources, Mr. Berger told his investors that Apple would be unveiling an iPad 2 Plus. Since the company is speculated to launch the second iPad version this year alone, it will more be an iPad 2 Plus, the rumor says. An iPad 3 will possibly be hitting the stores early next year, the FBR analyst said.

The rumor has spread like wildfire on the Web. Until now rumor mills have been only talking about an iPad 3 for this fall. But the new rumor says the Cupertino-based technology major may be launching an iPad Plus in a way the company uncovered iPhone 3GS in 2009 in between an iPhone 3G and iPhone 4 respectively in 2008 and 2010.
The rumor
According to Berger, the next version of iPad tablet will be an iPad Plus. The new iPad tablet may only be a high-end version of iPad 2, which was unveiled in March 2011, FBR analyst suggested. Certainly, the new version of iPad will have an advanced display, better pixel density and some other amazing features.
The unknown
It is not certain that there will be one more iPad upgrade this year. Apple has already rolled out a revamped iPad version early this year. But rumors say that there are enough evidences for the possible arrival of a second iPad upgrade this year.
As per rumors, display of the third generation iPad tablet PC will have a ppi (pixel per inch) of 250-300 from the current model’s 132 ppi. Several more similar features are expected to appear on the next gen iPad tablet, which was supposed to come out of furnace early next year. But some rumors after Apple’s WWDC 2011 in June floated up the claim that the device will hit the stores late this year.

The known:
It is sure that Apple will bring some advancements on its new iPad, whatever it is an iPad 3 or iPad 2 Plus. The company used to roll out hardware upgrades with a number of new features. And so we can reasonably look forward for a more powerful iPad as the next version. As Berger mentioned, there will be a slim and dense display on the next version of iPad.
What if it’s true?
Of course, if the speculations are true, we will get one more incredible iPad upgrade this year. Apple launched one model early this year. Now if the rumors are correct, we will be getting one more fantastic tablet version from Apple. Certainly the new iPad will be running on iOS 5, Apple’s latest mobile software version, which was announced at its WWDC 2011.
