Barry Fox is again in the limelight with its latest scoop regarding Apple’s patent for an LCD display embedded with thousands of microscopic image sensors that’ll show images and take pictures at the same time simultaneously. Each sensor embedded in between the LCD cells will take its own image which will be coupled together via software ultimately creating a larger image. The idea is based on the fact that, more the number of sensors embedded, the clearer the image. Also, each sensor may have different focal length, as per the patent, and hence make the screen behave like a zoom lens.

Apple will incorporate the latest technology in portable devices including cell phones and PDA displays; whether it’ll be incorporated in the rumored iPhone is still under covers.
