Apple patent aiming at next-gen multi-touch input surface?

Questions, and more questions. That’s what the latest patent from Apple Inc. is stirring. If info released from the United States Patent and Trademark Office is to be believed then Apple are already enroute to developing a next-generation multi-touch surface that would potentially combine typing, scrolling and handwriting capabilities into a single ergonomic design which might replace traditional input devices which we now know as the keyboard, mouse and drawing tablet! The larger touch system seems to be used by two hands and could support different actions depending on the location of your palms. Well, the whole keyboard-and-mouse hadn’t kinda really undergone any evolution since they thought it up a million years ago so it could be kinda nice to have an outlandish input system for a change! Kinda like when we first experimented with texting!
