Once again, Apple has shown some enthusiastic signs to reinforce Newton PDA concept, which marks an unsuccessful attempt to develop a line of personal digital assistants from 1993 to 1998, with modern multi-touch technology.
With a never-ending hope for Newton’s new birth Jobs and Co. for the past eighteen months, has put an effort with a team of Apple engineers to deliver a device, not exactly a PDA, but something similar to iPhone.
In brief, this device will be 1.5 times the iPhone with a 720×480 high-resolution display as almost its whole surface.
The multi touch concept seems promising, as it has shown successful adoption in earlier Apple products.
This next-generation device may hit the market in first half of 2008 or in January along with some Mac offerings if everything went according to plans.
