Apple’s compatibility wall has been breached! Declaring war against the company’s prejudice in favor of Windows OS, a hacker has managed to find a way to sync iPods on a Linux platform.
Since the release of the world’s most-popular mp3 device - the iPod - Apple has expressed its apprehensions about syncing iPods in a hacker-friendly Linux OS.
Although the company’s dogmatism can be attributed to security concerns, not many techno geeks have been happy about the decision.
The ‘breakthrough’ has been credited to Ian Monroe and his maverick hacker friends from the Truman State University. Not content with the success they have achieved, Ian has promised further refinement to the process in order to make it more practical.
And right now, they are working towards finding a way to install third-party programs on the iPod. From the looks of it, we are pretty sure about one thing - Apple will strike back!
