Being the hottest hi-tech device around, Chinese manufacturing houses have been busy chasing iPad's designs for sometime now. Chinese creators have finally managed to clone the Apple tablet and is flooding Chinese tablet markets with clones that promise similar revolutionary experience of the iPad, but at a cheaper cost. The latest participant to that is the MID, which is a clone of the iPad 2 and si priced only at 1000 yuan, which is roughly $154.

The thinner, lighter, faster and advanced iPad 2 has now a Chinese clone. Although it is safer to leave out comparisons of their operating systems, but looks-wise the clone is geeky and meets the same requirements. Nevertheless, being far less priced than the original, the mean pocket consumer is tempted largely.

The tablet has a similar 9.7 inch touch-sensitive resistive screen, in-built speakers and is 11 mm thick as iPad2. Added to that, it is equipped with Android 2.2 operating system at 800MHz, 256MB of RAM, VIA WM8650. The device also features built-in dual cameras, micro SD card slot, built-in WIFI, and provides for wireless Internet access too. Other than being similar in size, it also has the hold button which is used to lock the screen. However, the black and silver tablet has a rear plastic cover which gives it a flimsy, miserly look.
As a cheaper experience, the product definitely is expected to hold its sway over the market. However, for a more proper functionality, the experience of the real thing is incomparable.
