At last, terrorized by the fear of hearing loss, they’ve forced Apple to take the step. The new iPod models will now come with integrated software to set limits to the volume control. Parents can restrict the maximum volume on their kid’s iPods and lock it with a code.
Of course Apple is showing responsibility as the digital players can
churn out more than 115 decibels of sound enough to damage the ear-drum
if regularly exposed to it.
