Homemade planes are a mesmerizing contraption for me even today. Yet, for farmers and normal wage earners in China, the concept of creating their own planes is simple and fun. We were, beyond doubt, floored by the Chinese farmer Shu Mansheng’s ultra-light DIY aircraft, and this new creation, from 24-year-old Zeng Qiang is only an addition to the bolt from the blue. Zeng from Sifang village of Southwest China, spent last year working on this DIY airplane, which measures 6 meter long, 9 meter wide and weighs almost 150kg. The plane has to be installed with an engine now, but Zeng says he should have the plane complete with the engine for the Chongqing airshow on September 25. Let’s look on for what unfolds with this creation.
