Android powered Lego robot solves Rubik’s Cube in 25 seconds flat

We saw a weird speed demonstration of the Chrome OS by Google, now here’s another freakier one from Motorola. To show the speed of their chips in the Motorola Droid cellphone, David Gilday for ARM Ltd has got a Lego Mindstorms robot programmed using an Android system to solve the Rubik’s Cube in 25 seconds flat. Now, that’s some speed – its way faster than the other Rubik’s Cube solving robots we’ve seen previously. The Lego bot has a specially-built app to take a photo of the cube's side facing the camera, while the commands are sent to the bot by the Android system over Bluetooth.
