After putting up two long years of strenuous efforts, Russian firm RKK Energia has come up with the design of a joint Russian-European manned spaceship. It’s capable of carrying four people into space, rather, the Moon. Anatoly Zak’s endeavor has seen its fruition in designing it successfully; it’s supposed to be of 18-to-20-tonne but would be extremely spry in functioning. It has thrusters and landing gear on its base which separates it from earlier versions. Mind you, it would be very instrumental in reducing the friction that the spacecraft might undergo while passing through earth’s atmosphere. Mr Zak is hopeful of hosting its maiden launch from Vostochny in 2018, where the new cosmodrome is being developed, after Russia negotiates with Europe.
