What may be the hi-fi function, which your latest cellphone can perform, but I bet this DIY will make you desperate for this one. The maker added an incredible mod that hacks a mobile phone just by sending an SMS. If your phone is not a slider one, then a set of relays activate the phones interface that navigate the camera application to snap a shot without your being present there.
When the photograph is complete, you can receive it back on the same device you had used to send SMS, which is ingenious among DIY projects. A Picaxe microcontroller makes it possible to hack through the menu and after clicking the photo return back to it. A video tutorial will show your inspiration a way to do the same hacking business with your phone. But remember, it seems satisfactory in terms of remote functionality, but not for the eyes at all, as the pictures depicts it to be more a mess around the device.
Anyway, all the best, if you chose to finish up with a surveillance-cellphone that spies over in your absence.

This is cool. Seems like after getting this far it would be easy to add motion detection so it would take picture then send it to you when it detects motion.
