A new external hard disk drive is out and it can it can resist fire and water as well. The drive is packaged in a fire resistant and a water resistant case. Sounds a bit strange but it is true. The drive is being called The Disaster Ready Hard Drive on the pretext of facing the disasters like water and fire. So, if there is a mishap, your had drive can bear it as well.

The hard drive is compatible on PCs with Windows XP, 2000, ME, 98SE or Macintosh with OS X. Installation is pretty simple and can be connected within seconds by a USB 2.0 or Firewire. The hard drive also has a large storage capacity of up to 400 GB.
