Amoebabloke R2-D2 steampunk barrel for Star Wars aficionados

The last thing we wanted to see drenched in steampunk wardrobe is R2-D2 from the epic Star Wars series. But contrary to that artist Amoebabloke found the R2-D2 fictional character too over-whelming for a steampunk make-over that is why he ventured out on creating one. Amoebabloke’s R2-D2 is made from a wooden barrel and brass complete with gauges, meter knobs and connecting wires. Surely, the final make looks impressive but is there any space for someone to fit inside? I’m sure there isn’t. Apparently Amoebabloke plans to put his creation up on b3ta to fund his next project which I speculate would be a Steampunk Starwars Starship!
