The new Kindle e-reader recently unveiled by Amazon is 15 percent lighter, 21 percent smaller and better in many ways. With a 6-inch E-Ink display, the Kindle comes with 4GB built-in memory, quieter and smaller page turn buttons, sealed in battery for four weeks of life, WebKit based browser, expanded text-speech options, enabling you to listen to books and improved built-in PDF reader with dictionary look-up. And, with 20 percent faster page turns and 50 percent better contrast, the Kindle comes in two versions. The one with Wi-Fi and 3G wireless wears a price tag of $189 and the second, with Wi-Fi only will cost you $139. Available in graphite or white, these Kindles ship on August 27 and Amazon is also taking pre-orders for it. Amazon will also sell two covers for the devices.
