
Finally, Amazon is ready to unveil its long awaited Kindle e-Book reader at a high-profile event on November 19, 2007 in New Tork. The Kindle e-Book reader includes a Wi-Fi connection, which taps into an Amazon e-Book store, where users can purchase new electronic books.
Recently, Amazon has signed an agreement with Sprint to allows its customers for EVDO access. In addition, Amazon’s new e-Book reader is equipped with a headphone jack for audio books as well as an e-mail address. The device is also equipped with feature of download digital editions of ‘The New York Times’ and ‘The Wall Street Journal’ every morning.
However, the other sources reported that e-Book reader will not come with other features like calendar or address book. Instead of using backlight, the Kindle comes with small reading light, which can be adjusted with adjacent arm.
In another announcement, the company is also entering into deal with the W Hotel chain to offer Kindle devices to guests, who would be able to check them out like library books. Amazon is also looking to sign a deal for the launch of hot book title, which can be bundled with e-Book reader. The final price of the Kindle is expected to be $399.
