Amazon offers free download option on made-on-demand DVDs
With festive mood or season all around, Amazon has announced its Christmas and New Year gift of free digital downloads for movie studios and TV networks that sell made-on-demand DVDs through Amazon.com's CustomFlix, which possibly will be available by early 2007. They will now be able to offer digital downloads through, Unbox, Amazon's new video download service. The Unbox's catalog, which already contains films from almost all the major studios, would certainly be able to enhance their gallery in a great way.
Now media organizations would be able to endow customers with their content in digital form even without any extra charges. Customers will be able to save few bucks, as they will be paying less than they used to pay for regular DVD downloads.
