All-electronic firing control system: Shoots million-plus rounds per minute

Mike O'Dwyer scrupulously designed this killer concept six years back but still the smoke it raised has not gone down. This all-electronic firing control system works without any moving parts and 'can lay down a million-plus rounds per minute', that equals to a mind-boggling 180 bullets in less than one-hundredth of a second.

Equipped with a fingerprint-based user-ID system the concept weapon allows on-the-fly selection of different rounds for different situations. The single barrel can hold multiple rounds consisting of both lethal and non-lethal capabilities. A 36-barrel firing prototype, named Bertha by Mike, is a perfect blend of electronic controllability, accuracy and precision.
