In simple words, the High Definition Media Server that Alienware has just launched, is primarily targeted towards those with ‘digital home of tomorrow’ in mind. This server promises to make your home a high-end entertainment zone with zooming 4TB storage of digital movies, music, photos and other digital content. With Alienware HD Media Server, you can integrate digital content to your home entertainment system through a variety of audio and video outputs. The media server can also be used to stream files wirelessly or via a home network to any computer. The High Definition Media Server uses Intel Core 2 Quad 45 Nanometer Processors, Intel X38 chipset motherboard and 5 hot-swappable hard drive. The major features are home automation control, four installed TV tuners, 7.1 optical audio output, HDMI output, Dolby Digital 7.1 pre-amp output and more. However, the company has not divulged price of the server.
