Did you know that ‘hello’ is the most spoken word in the entire world? Now, this word has steeped into the robotic dictionary, wherein one will see a robot writing this word for you. If this has surprised you, then here is something for Arnold Schwarzenegger die hard fans. Certainly it doesn’t look like him but yes, it has taken a step further towards eying on the body building title in the robotic arena.
If robots are going to eventually destroy us anyway, we might as well make them look like us. A project called ‘Airic’s_arm’ is a new robotic adjunct that completely looks like the original Terminator, and has a musculoskeletal structure resembling our own. But believe me it has a terrible handwriting (to trust that see the vedio).Airic arm is a robotic arm fitted with artificial bones and muscles. Muscles are Festo’s product and have already been put in industrial practice and known as Fludic muscle. Using this technology, in conjunction with Festo’s tiny, highly innovative piezo-proportional valves, it is possible to precisely regulate the forces and rigidity within the construction. It’s good enough right now to actually write semi-legibly and lift a small weight.
