A Bristol-based group of engineers at EADS, the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company, has come up with an amazing bicycle which is as strong as steel, though the material used is nylon. The material is grown from high strength nylon powder. Robin Southwell the CEO of EADS claims that this ‘Air bike’ has the potential to upraise the global manufacturing and it is the best example of British Innovation. It is the first bike to use Additive Laser Manufacturing (ALM). EADS has received $8.03 millions from the government to develop the Air bike. All the parts of the bicycle are up to 65 percent lighter than any other traditional machine parts.

The Air bike has 6 printed sections including the wheel parts. If any part of the bike gets damaged, the 3D printer prints it again. The eco-friendly ivory-colored bicycle is simply fab with a computer-aided program in it. The machine is not for sale right now.
