African student builds a humanoid from old TV parts

Sam Todo is the latest genius in making robots from everything we call scrap. A student from Togo in Africa, Todo, has developed a functional humanoid out of TV parts and other used electronics. The fully-autonomous SAM10 as it’s called is an intelligent robot that greets people, moves around freely avoiding obstacles and calculates distance of an object in front of it. Because the young people of Africa are not too interested in technology, Sam things his invention could entice them into robots and technology. Read on to see the video of the bot in action.
