We are looking into a future where everything is Android-powered, and what a beginning with Nox Audio introducing a pair of Android-based headphones at CES. The clever set of headphones dubbed the Admiral Touch has a peculiar gesture controlled 2.4-inch color touchscreen fitted in the right ear cap, which allows users to change the unit’s mode. Running Android 2.1, the noise-canceling 7.1 virtual surround sound wireless headphones, have an ARM11 chip with 1GB flash storage and 256MB of RAM. Connected via both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth simultaneously, the headset has a retractable aluminum mic, microSD slot, a USB cord and rechargeable lithium-ion battery good for about six hours of playback on a single charge.

The Admiral Touch creates an immersive experience for playing video games and listening to music etc with clear audio all wirelessly, thus making for the only truly wireless headset available on the market. Compatibility with PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PCs, iPod, music players, home theaters and cell phones and all other electronic devices with a standard 3.5 mm jack, the headphones will be made available soon.
