Adidas’ Augmented Reality sneaker can be your next game controller

We’ve seen a few high-tech shoes since Adidas 1 high-tech sneaker with integrated running computer. Now, integrating Augmented Reality into its sneakers, Adidas has launched the AR sneakers - that have AR markers sewn into the tongue to take us into a new world of gaming and social networking. Holding the AR marker against the webcam and by using Adidas’ Flash-based app, the shoe will superimpose a virtual world on it, showing how the physical world can be linked virtual world. Following the creative idea there are talks releasing online games that’ll use AR sneakers as interaction device – so are you cool to play games using your shoe as the controller? The Adidas AR sneakers are available in US and various European countries in 5 different models retailing between $65 - and $95. Check the video after the jump.
