Adaptec has released a USB 2.0 TV tuner device for Windows XP MCE 2005: the AVC-3610. The device is equipped with a dual MPEG-2 hardware tuner encoder which also accepts Coaxial, S-Video or Composite RCA video connections and FM radio receiver.
It also has an integrated remote control with IR blaster that allows the user to control their Windows Media Center and their cable or satellite TV set-top box.
The TV tuner device is specifically designed for MCE 2005, but it can also work with other solutions.
The AVC-3610 is selling at a retail price of $229.
