How did you take Acer’s claim of toppling Dell off the second spot? I didn’t believe it in its outright state, but if Acer goes on to surprises us like it has done with this 3D laptop, even I’ll be forced to reconsider. They have bettered Dell, so I’ll have another excuse too.
The world’s first 3D laptop, the Acer Aspire 5738PG, lets you enjoy all 2D content in 3D format. This includes just everything from photos and movies to games et al, but there’s a catch, apps supporting DirectX 9 or above can only help in the gaming version, and yes we still have time before 3D is available for naked eyes, so don’t forget to wear those geeky glasses to enjoy the 3D experience.
Along with the polarized glasses to enjoy the 3D content, Acer’s beauty employs a combination of in-house TriDef 3D software, a special screen coating, which is a 3D film that clings to the panel pixel by pixel allowing the LCD to deliver 3D visuals. There’s nothing on the price and specifications yet, so I leave you with the thought - is anyone trying to beat Acer here?
