Acer might launch laptops with Intel's CULV processor

Posted By: Desh Raj Sharma | Mar 31 2009

Taiwan-based Acer Inc. gears up to launch its notebook PCs in three variants, this April hopefully. Banking on Intel’s CULV (consumer ultra low voltage) platform, Acer hopes to release 11.6-, 13-, 14- and 15-inch notebook PCs, not independently though. Quanta Computer Inc., Inventec Corp. and Wistron Corp. are the would-be allies. Size does matter and obviously people crave for bigger screens nowadays. Acer keeps note of this and ensures them to be lightweight. It might outshine the likes of Dell and HP. Though it’s too early to say anything on the exact specifications, Acer guarantees power and cost efficiency.
