We yesterday witnessed the announcement of Acer’s Android tablet and now we hear of the manufacturer revealing its LumiRead ebook reader. The DLNA compliant e-reader features the patented clear.fi solution that lets the users access Acer clear.fi and share contents including ebooks and audio-books across multiple compatible devices. Stuffed in with Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity, Acer has tied up with Barnes & Noble in the US, Libri.de of Germany and Founder in China to offer the users of the LumiRead with localized contents in English, German and Chinese. For the device – the LumiRead e-reader wears a 6-inch anti-glare backlit e-ink display with a full QWERTY keyboard. Embedded in with 2GB of internal memory extendable with MicroSD support the reader has ISBN scanner built-in which lets the user scan ISBN codes to create your very own wish-list from supported book stores and supported libraries. There’s no word on the price or its availability yet.
