French Public Transportation provider RATP and Cisco’s Mobile 3200 Series Wireless and Mobile router and Cisco IOS IP mobility solutions are pairing up to provide IP Mobility so that people will be able to access travel information even when they are on the move. This is achieved by installing an ‘Internet Protocol (IP) in Motion’ on the bus line No. 38 in Paris while Cisco connect the vehicles to the RATP back end servers



The novel plan includes a technology to provide connectivity to Dilidam which provides information on travels on the RATP transport network regarding transit and localised passenger and even news and entertainment clips. It also features world class video surveillance system and permanent IP connectivity to deliver the best customers’ security, safety and travel information.
